Hi all! I'm putting my Charger back together, and I don't know if it would be easier to install the carpet or dash first! Does it matter? Any tips on things to watch out for? Thank you!

Carpet... Nice Charger! You gonna put the black cutout on the bulge?:drinks:

I would get the dash in first along with just about everything overhead. Otherwise you will be filling the carpet with crap. I get everything done and then lastly the carpet, belts, console, and seats.

I would just put an old blanket/comforter in so you can work off of it and get the dash in that way you are not messing up a new carpet. Nice looking project too!

Headliner, wiper linkages, firewall insulation, heater box, parking brake, pedals, dash, then windshield. All door glass, interior panels, carpet and seats last.

I have cheap harbor freight moving blankets and pillows the wife wants to throw out.

^^^^ Ditto!!
I took mine to a radiator shop and they pressure tested it. It tested OK. After assembling everything, including new carpeting, it leaked and saturated my carpet. I don’t know if I was scammed by the shop or something else happened after it was tested, but I would find a way to test the heater core yourself.
