Hey guys!

I'm thinking of aero wheels for my 69 Bird. I'd like to know if one of you runs those and if you're happy with it.
I'm planning to with 235/60/15 up front and 255/60/15 rear. What should I take for the rims? 15*7 front and 15*8 rear? What would you suggest?

Also I have another question about aero wheels series that I have to choose. From what I understood 51 series are the one that I have to buy or perhaps 58 series, but they are available only with 15*8. Is that compatible with tire size 235? I will ride with power disc brakes Wilwood 6 pistons up front and stock drums rear.

and finally do you know the bolt pattern and back space that I have to choose?

I know it is a lot of questions sorry for that, but any comment would be very helpful! :)

Thanks

Aero wheels are not DOT approved wheels.. They are purpose built for circle track racing.

I don't know about your brake setup, but you may have to run a wheel larger than 15". Also you have lots more room in the rear, you could run a 275/60-15 tire if you want.

If you want something similar, I would go with these Allied wheels. I'm going to use them for slicks when I get around to it.

Personally, I just put US Mags U102 Wheels 15x7 with 3.75 Backspacing for the fronts and 15x8 on 4.5 backspacing for the Rears on my '67 Satellite. I think they look great and they are $75 cheaper than Torq Thrust D's..
