Hello Friends I have been waiting over 4 months for a conversion kit from Imperial services so that I can use my stock floor shifter with my 1968 Big Block trans. I am thinking that using an aftermarket ratchet shifter could be another option. Has anyone done this keeping the original console and not cutting it up?
Thanks John

I'll bet it didn't take them
4 months to take your money !

Is this for a 65 style console? I have a B&M shifter (Quick Silver maybe-can't remember exactly) in my factory automatic console in my 65 Sport Fury. At a glance it looks like the factory shifter. I can get a pic of it but it will not be until tomorrow.

I have installed a quick silver shifter in my 1965 plymouth console. Only had to modify the underneath of the top plate. looks stock from the top. I had a problem with Imperials linkage being too light and bending. I went through 2. No problem so far with the Quick Silver so far.
