Can someone show pic of 440-383 baseplates.I have stock383 and now need a 440, I have post this before and some said this combo works. Not for me I have 440 with rpm heads rpm perf. intake, quick fuel carb.I orderd new base from pgclassic 2nd one now still can't close my hood. I would like to stay with the stock look, do I have to change intake. Thanks for any and all help

I have Indy E-Z1 heads with their intake and a Holley carburetor. The filter is about 2" tall and the hood closes without any contact. Engine is a 440 stroked to a 500.

looking to keep stock look on mine "RamAir set up"

I figured I'd have to get another intake just wondering what one, thanks for link. I'm told that P G Classic is the only one who makes these any truth to this ???

Performer 440 sits lower than the RPM, looks very similar to stock but sits slightly higher than stock. I have a 1" carb spacer, flat base air cleaner with a 2" filter and it JUST FITS. 1967 Coronet.

I think I'm just going to cut a new base plate. I don't want to give up horsepower and with what I have into the engine I need all the air I can suck in.
