Air Conditioning..who has done it?

I pulled mine from a 88 Olds Cutlas cierra. Tha car uses a serp. belt, so I used a pully from another car with a V belt. I pulled everything I could from the Cutlas, it had several fusible links and a power junction. As for mountin I used the small block upper mount and a big block lower. I used this diagram to wire it in, and now I have 14 volts at idele with the lights on.

classic air

Just finished installing classic air in my 74 Roadrunner.. several fitment issues. But Gary in the Texas location was very helpfull. #1 it is not a direct bolt up to firewall. They say if fits B and E bodies.. Do not drill drain and wiring hole in firewall prior to test mounting.. you will be off by 1 1/2 inches. #2 Defroster duct is off, you will have to modify slightly. #3 the wiring swith (harness) is made for a top switch on your heater controls. I had a side mount switch. I modified it with a grinder.. very carefully and slowly to get it to fit in the plastic housing. be very careful. #4 the cable to control heater hose cutoff valve came up about 8 inches short. I have not resolved yet. Gary and I are woking on that. may use old cable. #5 i probably had more issues under hood because I have a 383 with a pass. side water pump inlet. (lower). Comp. bracket off a smidge. I just takes a while. Working weekends only.. took me 3 weeks. But I Rattamatted firewall and entire interior as well. I also covered Rattamatt (dynomat) with a closed cell foam..and painted several interior parts. oh yes, instructions say cut the brown wire off your old swith socket.. check power first... mine was the blue wire...
In summary, it was tough for a beginner like me, (just a 59 year old with passion) but very gratifying.. It's like all projects.."it's a project" My wife and i love this car. It is our cruiser..
