I could not find in any other threads about repairing DIY an AG actuator.
- I will try to repair the leaking AG actuator. Any tips before would be appreciated (how to open etc).
I bought new set of clips for the hoses. The black round ones go to the hood I would rember but what about the metal clips, also used in engine compartment for the hoses? A picture would be great where this is seen (Charger 1971, probably any b-body 71 would do that have the AG, N96 option).

Thanks, the picture clarified how to use the round clips, routing on hood!

Powertrip: Yes, I flipped out during Covid and built up a set of old Nerf toys (shoot soft foam projectiles)..most of them modified to be fun still also for little bit older kids

I just went through this on my 70 air grabber. The main problem with actuators is a seal that goes around the rod that moves back & forth. Mine was like this. Apparently, that seal is extremely hard to find. I’ve read about some people patching the seal up with silicone. Now the good news….if you’re not trying to build a show car, headlight actuators from a 68-69 Charger are almost identical to an air grabber actuator. The in/out nipples are clocked differently and a slightly different size, but they work just fine. That’s how I fixed my car

For what it’s worth, every AG car I have seen including mine, the hood clips are white, not a big deal, just an observation

Yes, the 68-69 Charger hidden headlight actuator is similar in appearance, and as noted, the clocking of the ripples are slightly different and slightly bigger (existing hoses will fit).....but....the big difference is the rod end connection to the air grabber linkage. A new connector can be easily fabricated to resemble the original connector. Part numbers: #3508190, Air grabber actuator while the part number on the hidden head light actuator is # 2926861. I have rwo of each as spares......except for a judged show, 99% of the spectators can't tell or know the difference.......just my opinion of course......

Thanks all for the replies, proposals. I will keep eyes open for the 68-69 Chargers hidden headlights actuator + give it a try to open up the one I have, maybe bring it to local pneumatic/hydraulic service shop if they are willing to check it out and try a repair.
The round hole plastic fasteners (black) I bought some time ago from Classic Industries, I think they are the PG classic repros. The metal fasteners came in same package..
Does anybody still know where the metal ones are used (to support hoses to/from the vacuum canister, located in front passanger side inner fender? Under dash?)

Merry Christmas!
