My air grabber on my 70 RR has started to go up very slowly when i flip the switch. Normally it would go right up. But now, it moves very slowly to the up position. I don't hear any vacuum leaks. What would cause it to start doing this ???

Stating the obvious here....
1. hoses may be old and cracking/causing leakage,
2. vacuum reservoir may be leaking,
3. not enough engine vacuum to begin with,
4. blockage in one of the hoses, or switch,
5. loose fitting hoses,
6. vacuum pod itself may have a leaking diaphragm or seal,
7. spring on vacuum pod still there?

Possibly a few more causes, but that should be a good start for you.
Mine closes slowly after an hour of being open - probably leaking past the solenoid under the dash, as all my hoses are good, and no apparent leaks in the pod or reservoir.

I've got some solenoids if anybody needs one or finds there's are leaking down. PM for info.
