Just ordered a airgrabber base (69 440) it’s going on a 440 with a holley dp carb. These 2 tabs in the carb mount base I have circled don’t allow it to sit flush on carb do you bend them up? Looks like they are meant to line it up straight but not not on a Holley?

Bend them up or cut them off. Can't remember which I did.

They don't fit anything but a stock carb !! The purpose is to keep the base straight front to back.

Have no issues with my Holley but using original base and 70-72 base

What kind of wingnut setup are you guys using? The one that holds the base to carb which is inside the aircleaner I was thinking about welding a washer to it big enough that it could never fall threw the carb and in the engine.
