Yes. The data book indicates black carpet is used with four speeds. Does that hold true for your car? Maybe...there may be changes after the data books are printed. If you know for sure what your car came with, use that.
If you read the book, color-keyed was an optioon on RR's.

That makes some sense to me (optional color for RR) Remember that RR's came out as a lower budget car, so making color, other then black an extra cost option makes sense.

The large white building appears to be an original. Note the curved train tracks on the lower right. The birth place of my 68 RR!
