Output from my 3 wire alternator when running about 2500 RPM is 13.5 volts at the alternator but only 12.5 volts at the rear mounted battery.

Do I look at voltage regulator or what direction should I go. Can you test a regulator.

Thanks in advance
Jack

Sounds like voltage drop from dirty connections(anywhere in circuit) or undersized wiring.

Same voltage at rear mounted battery as at alternator with engine off so I guess I look at connections for the grinch
