Another elec. problem on my 69 Charger. my Amp gauge keeps pulsing high when the car is under power. Not on idle and every time it pluses the engine misses and the dash lights flicker. Any help would really be be helpful.
The missing engine and more so the flickering dash lights leads me to believe you have a major loose connection.
The amp gage throws me except a drop in voltage (loose connection) could cause a high current draw.
I'm not 100 percent sure how a 69 B body is hooked up, but if it is like an A body, which I would image it is, all the car's power goes through the amp meter.
Start there on the connections????
I disconnected mine to prevent a fire. If it doesn't start, it isn't charging. Lots of threads on this. Innacurate Amp readings are a characteristic I think. Good luck. Unless you just noticed a dramatic change.
