Hey Folks, I'm a Kiwi living in Australia and I've been lurking on this great site for some time, reading all the restos and awesome technical advice........ while I searched for my own B Body.

So yesterday I pulled the trigger on this bad boy....

Numbers matching, 383, 727, 8 3/4 Suregrip, p/steer, p/brakes, stripe delete, tach, radio (OMG!).

It had a resto a few years ago and is real solid, A couple of minor rust spots and a little paint shrinkage/paint cracks but really very good overall.

Hoping to strip it back and give it the paint job it deserves and convert it to manual. An A855 would be nice.....

Thanks so much. My favourite colour is actually the colour of your car. If I'm not wrong your car is the same GTX I used to watch at Meremere in the 70's. Belonged to a guy (Des Keven) who went to my college. I recently caught up with him on FB. That very car, got me hooked on B bodies......

Nice ride, love the 1970 roadrunner's and Gtx's. I hope you get all the time you need this summer to enjoy driving it before you strip it back. Well done on a great purchase mate.

Yes, you are correct. I caught up with Des on the telephone (very old fashioned device) and we had a good talk about the car and the days at Meremere etc. I would be interested if you have any old photos also, as since Des's older brother Ron passed away, the family has managed to squabble and lose a lot of that memorabilia.
