Right and left. In the many times I have moved the heads around I have obliterated my left and right markings. Is there any way of identifying which side they came from if they display the same casting numbers? Rocker arms/shafts have been removed.

They are universal

Or bisexual.....all heads of the same casting number are the same. I guess that would be unisex.

Right on. I would have preferred they went back where they came from but it's all good.

Won't hurt a thing. Heck, a buddy of mine is a junk yarder and has even run different casting numbered head on his engines. Whatever looks the best and is close is good enough lol. Thing is, some of his junk has gone 11's like that.

Are we talking BB mopar?

Good idea on alternator mount bolts, the unused holes could be crusty and need threads cleaned out.

If it has exhaust manifold studs sometimes the left fronts are longer.

If the heads have not been hot tanked the unused rocker oil passages get clogged and won’t. Flow any oil to the rockers. Oil comes up from 4th cam bearing.

One thing to think about. Put the best bolt holes forward. Sometimes the bolt holes for the alternator brackets get stripped or buggered up just put the head with the best holes on the passenger side of the block.

Sorry just noticed the post above me. I agree with 413
