Another Ebay Gem! (not my car)

He says he got a restoration estimate of 4 to6k? Must have been talking to the neighbor kids. Can you say "Krylon".

No kidding... "just some bondo, krylon, and this chrome fuel pump and she'll be good as new"

I also like this one:

"No dings, dents, or exterior defects on this car" That is, unless you count the bubbling in front of the wheelwell. Typical used "classic" car dealer bs

Just some dumbass fishing on eBay. hell, I can't believe he's already got 1 bid for the 10g starting price????

i like his new "holley" carb.looks like a replacement rodchester, used, sitting on an old holley box.very creative.

To quote Dr. Evil, "How bout NOOOO Scott". Don't get me wrong, I love the 69 Charger. I wanted one before the Dukes ever thought about Hazzard. I don't think I could own one today. The stigma is too great, and as much as I love a good argument the Dukes thing would get real old real fast. I cringe when I hear it about someone else's Charger. Now they are just over priced.

It's gonna take $4,000 worth of drugs to get someone high enough to even bid on that pile of dog turd. :rolling:

What a mint example :jerk:

I saw that one also. I figure he had a buddy throw a $10K bid out there knowing it wouldn't hit the reserve and maybe get someone else thinking it is worth more than it is.

Yeah I haven't even driven mine yet and the comments have already gotten old. But it's worth it to have my favorite car, I got a good deal on it and hopefully it being black will cut down on the "dukes" connection with people. I'm just expecting the comments and slowly learning to shrug them off, hopefully soon I won't be able to hear them over the 440 anyway lol

dont worry, you will learn to ignore the comments.had my 68 charger r/t for about 12 years.mind you this car had a huge blower sticking out the hood and was primer black for most of its life.i had the "dukes of hazzard,ya dude!"comment every time i drove the car.only bothers you the first 100 times or so.

I like that the small block shown in the pictures is listed as a 383

I guess nowadays since the car will be black and with all the people my age I'll probably get "yeah fast and the furious dude!" about as much lol glad to hear you get used to it though

Also I think per house rules, mentioning your '68 now requires some pics to be posted.. :icon_thumleft:

wish i had some of her in race trim.little fire took care of those.i did have a lot of old freinds call me when that movie came out asking why i lent my car to vin deisel.

Whew! Makes me feel like I stole my 68 4spd numbers matching RR project for $4k. I was wondering how bad I was 'taken to the bank' until I saw that. No way on Earth for $10G's. 4-6K for restoration?...... r-i-i-i-i-g-h-t! Half the junk in the pics is, well... junk. Who takes pics of a crusty set of chrome valve covers, air cleaner, or old aftermarket speed parts and expects people to jump on the bid button. It takes all kinds, I guess. Sad for the car.

Ah bummer! The actual photographs from years back are always cool to see

Wow someone actually bid it up another $100, everything about this one just makes you go..
