Another first for Mopar......

Oh man. I want that. Only in a stick, though- which I'm betting they won't offer.

that will be a great medium duty truck for sure...

The bad thing with that will be the price! It'll probably add another 2-3 grand to the price! And the increased fuel price. With diesel approaching $4.00 a gallon it might be hard to justify it! JMO! Another thing to consider is the DEF you have to add to the fuel additional cost! I have a 2011 Ram with the 5.7 hemi,it works fine pulling a small trl! When I pull my big trls.I use my 2012 3500 w cummins! So another diesel p/u wouldn't make sense for me.

A Ram with a benz engine eh? interesting. The 3.0 diesel motors in the older (2010) Jeeps are actually worth more than the Jeep so if you blow your motor the car is a write off ha ha

Benz engine? The 3.0 diesel in this case is a VM Motor, made by Fiat.

Would love to have a 4bt Cummins in my 2000 Durango....good engines and they get great mileage unlike these new diesels that are full of power robbing fuel wasting emission controls....

steve. I'm not trying to be a wise-a$$ but what is a "large or small TRL?"

...could it be a Trailer?

ha ha I guess it wouldn't hurt to do some research quick, eh? I just assumed they were using the old 3.0 my bad.

I think the truck will do pretty good if the engine doesn't add thousands of dollars to the price tag, should be good competition for fords ecoboost also.

Hey Cranky I put in a 3.9 Cummins my 03 Durango been enjoyin 25-28 mpg on the highway ever since. Not too hard mechanically but with all the electronics it was a chore to get all the gauges to work properly.

I stuffed a 5.9 Cummins into a Ford van 14 years ago, never regretted that. Now it needs a new body, the engine has outlasted two so far. Will be building it's third body soon.

Mark, do you have an pics of that Durango?

Sorry not at this time. Took pics while doing the build but they were lost in a computer crash a couple years ago. Taught me to do a better job backing things up. I will try and get a pic or two when the weather gets a little better.
