Another 'how old is everybody' thread.....

My friends keep telling me to retire already.

But I have grills to feed

Hit 65 ten days ago. I remember back in the 70's and 80's working, and all the pension info was set to 2025. It seemed like an unobtainable number, but here we are.

This friend is my inspiration to keep wrenching. He’s 84 years old and currently is cutting out and welding back in a complete underside of a 66 Shelby - all trunk pans, frame rails, wheel housings, torque boxes, rear floor pans, front floor pans. Does his own cutting, welding, fabricating metal patches, sandblasting, etc. he can completely blow a car apart about 4 times faster than I can even think about.

All these old guys, tells you a lot about where our hobby is headed........... I feel that I was born in just the right time.

67 blessed years, all original parts, thankful for no medicine needed yet
(Must be the good gin)

Turned 71 last September. Old enough to have driven my '69 GTX when it was new, young enough to still be able to drive it, but with hand controls. Married an older woman, she turns 72 in February. She used to tell me to act my age, now she tells me not to.
