Another new old guy...NE Arkansas

Here's a perfect example of the "incorrect information" that we all see now. How much sense does this make? I copied and pasted directly from a story from "Hot Cars." Good grief.

"One of the greatest cars to house the sensational Cadillac 500 engine, which was known as the biggest factory V8 of the muscle car era, given that it came in at a titanic 500 cubic inches. In its most potent form, the 500 could muster up around 400 horsepower and 550 pounds of torque in the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Sport Coupe.

It also found a home in fellow Cadillac models, like the Fleetwood and El Dorado. Still, while the Chevelle SS is one of the most powerful iterations of the 500 block, the Deville is our personal favorite. We think you’d agree if you browsed over 10 things every gearhead should know about the 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville."

Hot Cars spews tons of automotive misinformation on line!

Welcome, great looking GTX. A 426 Hemi is the best replacement for a missing original engine.
