Another Old Guy - just bought 69 Bee

That's a cool car. Looks like a fuel cell was put in the trunk? Hope the pan is not cut up.
Also I don't see an N96 on the fender tag. That would be for the Ram Air hood scoops and ductwork underneath. So I bet somebody changed hoods somewhere along the line.

2. Someone had started some restoration (passed away I believe). Engine supposedly rebuilt as well as trans (matching numbers). Engine painted the aqua color instead of Hemi Orange, could be because non HP (330 hp rather than 335 hp)?
This is just the beginning as I move toward restoration. Since this is a rare combination of matching numbers, factory A/C, and 4 speed plans are restoration rather than restomod. Any advice as to what was factory correct are certainly appreciated.

Thanks for posting the pics. Car looks to be in VERY good shape, a great candidate for a restoration.
The original carb would have been a Carter AVS, most likely a 4711 "List" (model).
Today, a new Edelbrock AVS2 would be a VERY similar, upgraded choice.
They didn't really start painting the HP engines orange until 1970, so the aqua is correct for the year.
More knowledgeable folks will be along to help soon - but you've done well with this one!
 
Super cool. I love B7, painted a couple cars that. AVS would be stock, I’d either go original or a 440 version with the larger bores if it’s a restoration you want. I like the stick out of the bare floor, so simple. Hood looks like it was swapped, still looks nice on there. The non-air grabber air cleaner would have been a simple round snorkel-less thing.

Thanks much! Had a 69.5 A12 bee decades back that was Hemi Orange so this was slightly confusing.

I am assuming it did not have the RAM air hood, this one is not as far as I can tell, the scoops are not funtional.

Needs a trunk pan. I have the original gas tank but need to verify the condition. Probably needs a little other metal work, but frame rails, etc are solid. Will need lots of body work and front fenders a bit rough, might be easier to replace but I haven't gotten into that yet (I'm not a body or metal guy- will have to get others to look at it).

All the 69 RR's and Bee's had orange engines unless the car had AC, then it was turquoise.

Not sure yet. Assessing things and seeing how much metal and body work, but I'd like to make this pretty extensive and do it right if I can engage the skills that I lack (metal and body work). I'm not concerned about resale or value that much, just doing this for personal satisfaction (though I don't really want to get too far in the weeds).
 
Correct air cleaner for the car... once you put the bubble hood back.

You would have to cut the air cleaner on the air grabber style air cleaner for the A/C compressor to clear. My suggestion is keep your hood and use the correct air cleaner for your car. Just my opinion, but cutting the air cleaner would not be an option for me. Everything fits and you can keep your hood or swap for the bubble hood, just no air grabber.
