Antique car tags. Car must remain stock?

Don't think Texas cares but in certain counties if it came with pollution control equipment the vehicle has to keep it but it doesn't have to work once the vehicle is 25....but don't think most inspection stations care. I'll find out more when I take my Dakota in with a straight pipe next time lol. Also, we're supposed to be able to NOT get a yearly inspection sticker once the vehicle is 25 years old and you have antique tags on it. Been years since checking into that.

Canada started that nonsense years ago. Ohio doesn't care.

Believe it or not Nj doesn't care. We can get "QQ" tags or "street rod" tags if the car is modified. Everybody i know runs QQ tags ,I even run them on my fenderless, hoodless 31' Ford coupe with Hoosier Quick Time slicks on the street, never had a problem.
