Looking for someone who knows a bit about carb rebuilding and tuning in western, PA. (near Clarion county would be great!)
I bought an Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650 on a mildly built (.40 over, Hughes Whiplash cam) 383 that we can not get to run right no matter what we try.
It keeps dumping fuel out the top of the carb. I'm definitely no carb expert, and don't even want to attempt to rebuild it myself.
When we initially put the carb on the car, it had an electric fuel pump, pushing a ridiculous amount of fuel pressure.
We realized this was an issue and swapped that pump out for a mechanical one, but then heard that the electric fuel pump may have damaged the carb (needle & seat?).
In any event, I'm wondering if anyone in the area rebuilds carbs, or knows of an individual or a shop that rebuilds and tunes carburetors.
Really want to get this thing running good for the upcoming season!
Thanks in advance.

carb probably doesn't need rebuilt. depending on the pump you have you may have too much fuel pressure and the wrong step up springs in the carb for that cam.
