I can't say why, but I find it odd that my 70 V-code Roadrunner has the wheel moldings. 4 speed, NO factory console (I have a custom console now that I LOVE) manual brakes, manual steering (now power because the CVF Wraptor presented a good opportunity for PS and AC), but the switch from manual front disc/factory rear drum to 4x 6 piston Wilwood disc brakes still has a manual master cylinder because that's my preference, post car (I LIKE that!), no passenger side view mirror, no N96 until I added it...the wheel moldings
I thought about painting them silver to tune down the chrome. Who knows maybe I will later but for know I prefer them on.I can't say why, but I find it odd that my 70 V-code Roadrunner has the wheel moldings. 4 speed, NO factory console (I have a custom console now that I LOVE) manual brakes, manual steering (now power because the CVF Wraptor presented a good opportunity for PS and AC), but the switch from manual front disc/factory rear drum to 4x 6 piston Wilwood disc brakes still has a manual master cylinder because that's my preference, post car (I LIKE that!), no passenger side view mirror, no N96 until I added it...
My point is that it seems a little odd to have put so many of the "checks in boxes" focused on performance, and to select the wheel moldings.
I happen to like them, very much, but I'd be happy (I think) without them and the chrome and stainless blacked out.
I like them then i don’t buy they are staying on and now I’m debating on adding the passenger mirrorI can't say why, but I find it odd that my 70 V-code Roadrunner has the wheel moldings.

I think a passenger side mirror is a good safety addition, as long as the driver also looks in that lane before changing lanes.I’m debating on adding the passenger mirror
I added a back camera and that’s helped a lot when anyone else drives the car on the mirror I just don’t want to drill any holes on the bodyI think a passenger side mirror is a good safety addition, as long as the driver also looks in that lane before changing lanes.
Having said that, a properly adjusted side mirror will usually eliminate blind spots, and in, for instance, an "I'm not going to be able to stop w/out hitting the vehicle ahead of me" scenario and the lane to either side is open, that mirror is just the ticket for an emergency lane change.
I'm getting one, the only question is am I going to get a new matching pair or the "correct" one (remote operating adjustment would be a BIG plus)
I'm having trouble seeing what makes you say that. What problems do you have with it?oer repro grill which by the way is junk

Absolutely beautiful!!View attachment 1107622 View attachment 1107621 Removed the wheel moldings but decided to put them on. Found sport satellite fender badges so I got those. Now working on the trunk tray because it rattles, they put the new one over the old one.
replaced the electric fuel pump because it was leaking and put back the split tail lamp on but blacked the inside lip to make it look a bit different

The one I had before fit nice and flush but had some cracksThis may show my stupidity, but that looks like a 70 GTX grille, not a 70 Roadrunner? My grill has vertical slats. See pic of mine recently taken
