Any Police Officer's, EMT's, or Fire Fighter's on here? THREAD

Police Officer 3 years. Jumped the fence and went to the Fire side.....glad I did. 12 plus years now. Fire LT / EMT with a local City Department.
 
12 yrs has a volunteer fire fighter ,retired now ,from Chryslers and the fire dept
 
Fire Fighter/Medic unit driver for the last 13 years. Love doing it and never a dull day.
 
Retired: Deputy in Maryland and Poleece ini California. One too many injuries and 4 surgeries got me put out to pasture. And yes, I'll come clean, unlike some officers, I didn't give pretty girls a break on tickets but I did give Mopar guys a break...but I nevr told them.

Was a 'white hat' in the AF....didn't particularly care for it and for sure wouldn't want to be a cop in the private sector but my hat is off to all that do that job and do it well. And even tho I worked in a refinery, we had fire training every year, I wasn't expected to run to any major fires (since we were in maintenance)....it was more like get the hell out of the way lol. Use to ask why in the hell do we have to train annually if we're not expected to fight any fires?? We finally stopped doing that in my last few years there.
