Anybody going to watch the lunar eclipse?

It's gone now, and has a slight reddish hue, must be the blood moon ?

Hey the clouds opened up a bit...

Miss living out in the country.

Bet the maturity wards are full of expectant moms and the emergency rooms are crazy with combatant patients. (Yeah, I worked in a hospital once)

I should have turned the flash off. That is what the red sky is about.

I had issues with my camera. Couldn't get the settings right. There isn't much light for the light meter to focus on when it's a total eclipse. My old SLR you just crank the apature wide open and the shutter speed to 1/100 or less and the lens to infinity and shoot away. Sometimes the new digital camera's are a pain. Too many options.

Alas, Cloud cover during the event. Cleared up a few hours later at 1am.
Moon shining bright enough I didn't have to turn the lights on when the dog went out at 2 am.

I went out a couple of times last night
like 9:00-ish then 10:00-ish
& saw the orangeish moon partially eclipsed
then a very dim moon almost darkened out completely
over low in the horizon of the eastern skies
I went out & looked again in an 45 min. to hour, maybe 10:45-ish
Moon, it was in the southern skies
Back completely to a full moon, started to really brighten up a bit
right back to a reg. 'big bright full moon'
lighting up the area...
