Anybody know what color these are supposed to be? Splash shields behind headlight buckets 1973 SSP.

Looked to me like they were bare metal before we blasted them but after 50+ years who knows. They mount inside the front fenders right behind the headlight buckets.

As far I know they are painted after assembled getting body color being sprayed out.

They are usually painted the same color as the car.

Are you guys sure about these being body color. This along with the other not pictured were removed from my 73 GTX in 1989. This car has never been painted. Don’t mind the light shine/gloss, I just washed one of them to try and verify if there was any B5 on it. I see no traces of color. Opinions??

They were black... installed long after body paint and then generally misted in undercoat.
