Anybody running Series 63 steelies from WV? Wondering what backspace you went with and if you were able to fit a 15x10 on the rear or if 15x8 is the limit for the stock suspension. I have a later B axle so that may play into it too, but I'm betting I'm not the only one.
Thanks

depends on what car you have, you can fit a 20 x 15 under a 68-70 b body if you wish

Do these wheels accept our early b, larger dog dish? I noticed in the pic they have four nubs where the hubcaps mount.

Doubt it; the centers look too small. That center diameter is consistent with '68-up applications.

I have never used the wheels you are showing. I am just using a Mopar steelie as I have 2 sets. One set is 15 x 7 and the other is 15 x 8. I normally have these Hoosier 30 x 9 x 15's mounted on the 15 x 7 wheels as I drive on them alot and they fit about dead center in the stock wheelwell with about 1-1/2 inch of room on the inside and outside. They dont rub at all even on sharp turns. My 15 x 8 wheels work good but I only use them for racing as the wheel has more offset to the outside. The 30 x 9 tires fit in my stock wheelwell but it has the tire closer to the outside and it will rub sometimes on bumbs up in the inner 1/4 panel wheelwell on the outside sidewall of the tire. It fits and for just straight drag racing they work but they rub to much on bumbs and turns to use on the street. My rear is a drum to drum 8-3/4 from a 65 Plymouth B-body as I swapped in into my 63 Sport Fury as the factory 8-3/4 had the hubs on the drums with the big nut on them which made it a pain everytime I wanted to check the brakes as I had to use a puller to get the rear drums off. No problems now with the floating drums. Ron

I have them on my 65 coronet 15x8 4.5bs 275-60 T.A.s 65 housing! You might have a problem if you use a later housing!

I'm going to go like 383man on my 63 Polara!
SWEET!

you are going to have to do some measuring if you are switching diffs.i think the later years are wider and would change your wheel offset if so.

I used an 8 3/4 axle from a 68 or 69 Roadrunner on my 65 Satellite with 80's Diplomat 15x7 steel wheels and L60 M/T tires with no clearance problems.

The Diplomat 15x7 wheels have a 4 1/4'' backspace.Ran those on the 64 Savoy with 275/60/15 BFG's.Good fit but was using the 65 rear(I think 54'' backing plate to backing plate ?) The 15x8's have a 4 1/2'' backspace. You may have the tires rub the outer upper wheel house with the later rear and the 8's.

correct 64 Post; they will not fit the large dog dish. Mont., can't comment on backset on stock drum rearend. I will say i had to go with a 4.5 BS on the D100 15" centers to clear the disc brakes with a 15x10 setup.

I picked up a rear drum to drum from a 66 Charger and it is about an 1 1/2 shorter than the stock one under my 64 Belvedere. and it will bolt right in

Hi Mate

I just installed a set of those exact wheels on my 62 Dart. 15 x 7 on front and 15 x 8 x 4.5 BS on rear. Fit is perfect. I dont think you could fit 10" wide, but I could be wrong. PM me if you'd like me to post a pic of my set up.
