Sonny is alive and well. He's just been up to his eyeballs in being busy at work. He's lost some employees, so he's had to pick up the slack, being the owner. I haven't seen him since August of '23 (seems like it was just a few months ago!), but I'd know if he weren't well. Thunder would know and he and I text each other several times a week.
Thanks for the update Dave. Please pass on our best regards to Sonny next time you talk.Sonny is alive and well. He's just been up to his eyeballs in being busy at work. Sonny lives on a lake, and sleeps near the fishes, but not With the fishes. I know he's busy taking care of business" in the neighborhood" and keeping a low profile. Me,I'm just schlubbing along finishing many outdoor projects, and honey doo's. Also, trying to find a reputable "old school" transmission guy to go thru my 727 in my general area. Among other issues dealing with the other cars. This site is my first stop each and every morning as I follow along with the usual Perps, to which I must say is quite entertaining.....just like Texting with Dave!Sonny is alive and well. I texted with Sonny today, Roger, and he's all good. As always, he talked about how we need to get together this year. One of these days we (the local WI FBBO crew) need to all get together at his place as he's talked about for years. Time just flies so fast. I'm the youngster and newbie in that group, and I've known them for about 10 years, now. Thanks for the update Dave. Please pass on our best regards to Sonny next time you talk.![]()

You need to get a "Little Giant"!!True - Thunder and I keep each other on our toes with our texts!
We were going to try to get down to see you this winter, Tom, but then I went on my roof.![]()
...or a Transforma ladder...You need to get a "Little Giant"!!
...or a Transforma ladder...
Maybe @Kern Dog needs one of these then.Holy Jeez, Roger - that's basically the same ladder as I was on! Mine is a shorter version (13' long) and it was set in the straight position leaned against the roof.
Yeah, yeah….Maybe @Kern Dog needs one of these then.![]()
When I was a cub, sheathing a roof, I stepped on a loose sheet, I fall down on it and rode it down off the roof like a magic carpet. It was over the garage and there was a pile of dirt in front of it. The plywood stuck in the top of the pile and I slid down the side of it. It threw me into a standing position when I got to the bottom. I just stood there not believing I wasn't about half dead. Quick turned around and flew back up the ladder to where I started, no one even saw it. One of those one in a million, that I had several times. LOL. You work at something long enough without an accident, odds start to stack up again you.Yeah, yeah….
I fell off of a roof, not a ladder.
I mean, I have fallen off of ladders before but I never mentioned those instances here.
