Hello:
I talked with the consignor about this car today:
http://www.americanclassicsandhotro...e-Newberg-OR-Owatonna-MN-Oregon-97132/5956851
He was honest and straightforward; he immediately claimed this is a "$27,000 car", but the seller is firm for now. Paint is not perfect, but lots of sheetmetal replaced. The motor has some lifter noise, but he claimed it is a solid lifter 440 that needs some adjustments. Otherwise he said it is a solid car, a real Super Bee that had a 383, and for the most part a good car.
It's close to what I have been looking for, including the color. I realize there is not a lot of parts that are Super Bee, or 1969 correct, but I want a driver. I really am ready to fly up if I can get off work. I just want someone to confirm solid body, floorpans, and trunk (I see the trunk patches).
My plan is to convert to Wilwood front disc, and maybe Classic Air, and just repair and enjoy as needed.
I have free flights on Southwest, but little vacation time. If someone in the area can check this car, I would be grateful and maybe meet you for dinner on me if I can fly up.
Thanks! Take care, Bill
