I pulled the trans off the 440, and the torque converter has 3558-4 stamped on it. Anyone know what stall this is? Thanks!

Stall RPM has many factors that affect it. A Hi Torque 440 will stall the same converter at a higher RPM than a std 383 will. Also, stall speed is determined by the converter diameter and how the vanes are set up inside it. What diameter is the converter? Do you know the brand? We need a little more information, plus a few pictures would be helpful. I put a TCI Street Fighter, Saturday night special behind my 451, and it worked great!
