I have a 69 Coronet, with a 496 and the TCI 4l80/ 6 speed behind it. Tranny was modified with the Reed bell housing and Mopar bolt pattern. Looking for any guidance in the hook up of computer and any pitfalls that may have come with installation and getting it working correctly. I would love to hear any downsides or tips. Thanks for the help!

We are using a US SHIFT to control a 4l60e. Make sure you have a clean tach signal,TPS and an accurate speed sensor. I double check it with a GPS. The TCI EZ TCU should be easy to use.

You have to swap a gas pedal out for the TPS....(throttle positioning sensor) I assume?

No I think they make a kit with a TPS that bolts on the carb linkage. It should be detailed in your instructions.

Yes TCi makes a remote mounted TPS that is pretty easy and similar mounting to a carb bracket like an old GM TV/kickdown cable. I'm running a SST A41 (basically a 4l60e) and TCi TCU and handheld unit, with their TPS that plugs right in to their harness.

Installed the TPS last week, very easy but did have to build a small frame to handle the TCU and TPI. With my set up there is also a switch panel required or just add 3-4 switches to your dash to control/ turn on the different driving functions already programed into the TCU. Will end up building a waterfall dash addition to have places to mount these aspects. Trying to finish up ALL the wiring to make everything work together at this point. I have a friend who is VERY sharp with all this and a fellow FBBO member here in CO, he is doing a fantastic job!!
