Anyway to find the original selling dealer?

Oh god NO! those dealer pieces were the worst thing they ever did, pimp their own dealership ugg those are ugly I always hated those made the car look junky. Usually see them on southern cars too some sort of trend like bell bottoms lol

I remember my pops getting into a fight with the Chrysler-Plymouth dealership where he bought his '70 Belvedere, because the first thing he did when he got the car home was take off the license frame and scrape off the decal they'd slapped on the trunk lid. When he had to take the car in for warranty service because the DS window fell off its track (a nice touch for new Mopars and AMCs in the 70s), the shop manager tried to tell him that because he'd taken off the dealership stuff, he'd voided his warranty.

My old man called BS on this of course, and pretty loudly, but I wonder how many other people got fooled into thinking they had to put the dealer swag back on their cars in order to get needed repairs?

When I ordered my Ram, I specifically told them not to put the dealership decal on it. Nothing against the dealership - I just didn't want to have to peel it off myself.

Dealer emblem......

I agree..... At least back then. They would drill holes in new cars to install them, and the emblems were usually poor quality and would dull and pit long before anything else on the car.
But that was then..... Now it's kinda cool to see that kind of detail on a restored car.... You don't see it often. It adds to the authenticity. JMHO

Agreed. I wish that Keystone Dodge had put a sticker on my new Challenger before Obama pulled their franchise.

So Diane got back to me....and they can't help me....the search continues....

Is there any way you can contact your DMV at your state capital where they keep there records and ask them about a title search for dealerships? They might charge you a fee or tell you they can't do that.

I would like to find the dealership where my car was sold, but with all the privacy laws now days, I don't know if the BMV can help.
