Im looking into buying one of theses for my 65 coronet my question is is it a cap ? or cut out the old and weld in the new ??????

If I had to guess I would say it's a cap. If you're looking for a new crossmember, there was a guy on here cutting up cars out west and selling sheetmetal, might want to see if you can find the listing. I don't think they repop them for 62-65

Ya those are caps probably from Rust Tech. I carry full originals for 275.00 which are not being repropped.
