are US Wheel's wheels, actually made here in the US?

The box says made in USA too.
But I know what you mean. My house attic fan said same thing on the box, (made in USA) yet fan itself said china. And I can tell fan(itself) is right because since I redid the roof in 09 that fan has died and needed replaced 4 times and I believe I'm gonna be replacing it for the 5th time soon as I haven't heard it in a while. China POS.
And to get them to honor the so called lifetime warranty I have to pay an electrician to pronounce it dead and do the install, send proof that it was done this way. The electrician would cost more each time than the replacement motor does.
Weird since the only reason itgot replaced to begin with was that the original looked old and I wanted to put in a new one while I was doing the new roof.it still worked fine. As far as I know it had been here since the house was built, with remnants of 4 colors of shingles under it's edges.
After the 2nd or maybe 3rd time I called the company to complain about false advertising, it wasn't truly made in USA. The woman on the other side of the phone told me that they could claim as such because the housing that the motor goes into was made here and the chinese motor was bolted to that housing here in the states.

well the 1 is here.... still waiting on the other 3 from Jeg's.... strangely I go to look up my order and there is a big banner at the top saying they are in the middle of a system wide outage. they are working hard to get things up and running. Been trying to track and see where my other 3 wheels are, since Thursday.... no dice. I try and call the 1-800 number and I'm getting an instant hang-up. still going on today.
What I don't get was they showed 3 in stock. I talked to somebody there that verified they had them. and could still send them out that day. I talked to my wife (so she don',t freak out when she sees the CC bill) and tried calling back. Endless "Hold" so I ordered them via the computer. This was a couple days before the "outage".
As soon as I ordered them, it showed "back order, est ship date of 6/2" Huh... they sold them to someone else, in the course of an hour, I was thinking..... I had even made comment to the 1st guy before I ordered that it was weird they showed 3 in stock.... and even asked if he could give me something off the price since not many people would "only" want 3 wheels..... 2? Maybe. 4? most certainly. But not 3. and "nope, sorry". I also did ask if they were discontinued, if this was the last 3 they could get, and he didn't think so (or wouldn't admit it anyways even if true)
Well, I called later that nite, and got someone different than I originally talked to (not surprising) had a guy the 1st time, a girl the next. The girl told me that their system was acting goofy, that, no, there wasn't a b/o on my order, that I did get those last 3 they showed when I was looking, before I ordered. that they were already being pulled and prepped to ship. I was the 4th or 5th call she had had from customers that had the same issue, they had also ordered parts claimed to be in stock that were then showed on b/o, as soon as the order was placed....... I ordered on Monday, the outage has been posted on site since Thursday....
When I called and talked to that girl on the phone it was Monday like an hour after I ordered them via computer.
so to all of you that may be waiting on parts from Jeg's don't be surprised if you don't get your stuff when you thought you would....
I dunno how they are being shipped.... Fed Up, or UPS, or who.

Now you guys have made me curious. I ordered a pair of custom bs tt2's a couple years ago. I assumed they were made here, now i have to go find out. I still have the box too, cant say i ever saw any chinese on it.
I bought a set of "old school" tt2 clones, that are definately chinese. I found out later that real ARE tt2's were about the same price. I was not real happy.

Where does any aluminum come from,

I know Alcoa has a plant in Jamaica. Look up the "Red River" as it is polluted with the after product from, I believe is called Bauxite,a product used in making Aluminum.If you look up "Jamaica's Red River'' they state that scientists have no idea what causes it.
I was there some 30 years ago and went with a local that said that the river was clean as a boy,until Alcoa's plant opened.
Now this is not a "Green" statement by no means. I have plenty of Aluminum wheels and car parts.
Just answering "Where does aluminum come from ?" Maybe look up Alcoa too.

Aluminum aside, and they do make them in aluminum but the majority of US Wheel Corp. wheels seem to be steel, including their street performance series.

Ya know, there is a chance i confused U.S.Wheels, with U.S.Mags.
Now i dont know.
Im pretty sure US Mags are chinese.

I was surprised to discover that the American Racing Wheels that I bought from 4wheelonline were manufactured in China. Not surprised though, most goods that you see in the US are made overseas, mostly in China. We all know that the cost of labor is cheaper there.

No, but there's one just up the block in Torrance....it's easy just take the 405 to the 405/22 to the 605 back to the 405 past the 710 to the Torrance exit. Or, for the scenic route take the 1, cut over on Ocean and take the 710 to the 110 and before you get to the 91 catch the 405........

I have bought six American racing torque thrust in the last few years, two 15x7, two 16x8, and two custon 15x12. I still have the box the customs came in, box says made in USA. I looked at the other four, and didnt find "made in china" on them....... but i didnt see "made in usa" either.
EDIT: i forgot about a pair of gray 15x10 torque thrust i bought. Those DO have "made in china" on them.

Thats interesting. The 15x12 were custom backspace, obviously two piece, and I'm almost positive made here.
The 15x10 are one piece, have allsorts of info cast into the wheel on the back, including a proud "made in china".
The 15x7 and 16x8 are polished one piece and have next to no info on them, other than the size and series (vn515, and vn501, before vn501 became something else, apparently) . No proudly made in china, or usa!
The 17x7, 17x8 that i bought, thinking i was getting a terrific bargain (voxx/old school/BG/Rod works, all four names on em) are definately chinese. If the "real" ARE torque thrust one piece are chinese too, i dont feel so bad.

These are a 2 piece. The pieces could have been made elsewhere and assembled here.
