Inner passenger fender original 67 New Yorker. No idea what it means.

On my 73 RR these are the numbers/letters that are behind the rear seat. Y1 X9 Y1 was the car color "Lemon Twist" and X9 was the interior code for "Black". I left them in place and will sand back the new paint till they blend.

Interesting, and thanks for sharing! I've checked all my documentation and no where are there 19's and 22's that mean anything in particular. I recently emailed Mike Mancini, one of the best MOPAR restorers in the business, to see if he had any ideas. Hope to hear back, but I imagine he's quite busy.

I'd consider adding a tether to that gas cap.

Super high theft item.
Mine was stolen off my 69 Sport Satellite SW. Still looking for a correct one. I'll have a SS tether on the next one.

Good idea.

I was gonna suggest at least braided cable.

Anything that makes it more difficult and/or more time consuming helps.

It was cheaper for me to put a used GTX cap on my wagon than find and purchase a factory twist on.

I wonder if the OP's paint markings identify the body as a "23" hard top.
