Is there any reason this pump could not be used on a B 383 engine.
I would "assume" all stock type RB and B pumps are physically the same as far as mounting and lever.
So stupid question time.
I've got one of these.

Either it has too much meat by the aft bolt or I've got too much engine block there to clear it.
Hoping for the latter and I'll make it work.

It will work on any B-RB or Hemi block. Grinding the mount on the pump is not uncommon on todays junk.

Thanks.
I was bass ackwards in what I said.
I ain't grinding the block if I can help it.
The aluminum is what I meat.
Er I mean meant.
Having a bad day with my M and Ms.

I put a Carter M4845 on a 1970 440 last year. It didn't need any grinding. I bought a fitting for the output side at napa so I could use a 1969 and older fuel line on it.

I bought a new Carter pump recently and it was made in China. I never noticed before that they were.
