AWESOME MOPARS at KISSIMMEE

I've always wondered with this big money cars...How does it work? Say the cars is worth $200,000 in the owners eyes and it is bid to $190,000 and the car goes through unsold. Does the consignor still have to pay a percentage to Mecum?
No sale; NO additional fees.

Do these auction houses verify the authenticity of these cars,,,,or check them mechanically? I know of a particular matching #s black 68 or 69 HEMI Roadrunner that has a cracked block and was stitch welded to stop the leaks.Stick car too!
Would really hate to see someone pay crazy money to this crazy guy to purchase it!

They do NOT check ****...................only go by what the seller states. There not getting their tit in a ringer.

I guess prices aren't going to well.

I went 2 years ago for the first time. Kissimee was great, decent weather, great cars, lots of fun. Plenty of options for places to stay.
Highly recommended!

Very nice car, but it's not $90,200 worth of nice.
I agree, but to someone it was.
There are a few shops that can restore a car back to/better than day 1 new, and even more that can make them look nice.
Nothing short of a time machine can produce a car like that GTX.

That belongs to my friend. Beautiful car and a hoot to drive. Here's a video from just after he finished the restoration:

He's hoping to get something in this neighborhood, His car is more desirable (options) than the one in this article, but only time will tell: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2014/...-rt-sells-for-305000-topping-harrisburg-sale/

It was even on Cars in Barns: http://www.carsinbarns.com/mopars in barns/pg48.html

I saw this car and met your friend at MCACN in Chicago in November. great car and nice guy.

I've been the past three years and really enjoy it
50k (plus fee) for the 63 max wedge plym seemed like a pretty good deal, the car was immaculate, owner was very nice

I was personally crawling around (for hours on three different days) the four 68 hemi road runners that all went through Saturday (all sold between 60k and 160k) except the one red coupe built for export that bid to 50k but didn't sell
Some nice cars for sure , but even at steepest prices, the cars are not perfect, that is for certain

Yes Chris is a very nice guy. Now he can pay his import taxes on his 70 Hemi Challenger he bought last fall.
