B body console rear carpet trim

Gents,

Regarding in my case a 70 Charger, would anyone have a pic of how the rear piece from the console carpet trim set is attached to the back bracket? I have an idea but would like a definite. It has the shape of as if it supposed to wrap around and the ends sandwiched between the bracket and the plastic when screwed together. If this is the case, not sure if it is supposed to be loose mounted or glued onto the bracket to keep it tightly wrapped?

Yes you have the exact right idea, the vinyl ends go between the metal and th console body. they did glue the carpet on also, but over time the glue fails and they drop down later.
