Is big block torsion bars the same size with 383 or hemi?
if not any recommendations for a 69 RR hemi torsion bars? Mine are possibly stock from factory
size please from a 383 to a hemi / aftermarket suggestions

0.88 for 383 cars

0.94 or 0.92 for hemi/hd , I’ve read both, someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

As far as recommendations, I have a 68 GTX with the factory hd bars, tubular upper control arms for more caster which is really needed, boxed lower control arms, Bilstien shocks, and a steer and gear stage 2 box. The car is nice and firm, handles great with being too firm

have i believe seen on line bars as big as 1 inch plus or is that to much?
 
My 67 383 came with 0.92 bars - HD suspension for trailer tow pkg. I recently changed them for new 1.03 bars from PST. Pretty happy with the ride. Stiffer, but not harsh IMO
 
The PST 1.03” bars are a great bar for all around use. A bit firmer than the 440/426 bars but not harsh or uncomfortable at all. Also PST offers discounts to forum members.
 
As stated, the 1.03 bars from PST are a decent upgrade but you'll need good shocks too. The Bilstein RCDs are an excellent option.
DO NOT use KYBs. They are an inferior design that gives a harsh ride with bigger torsion bars.
If you doubt that, do some searches on KYB shocks in Mopars.
