B body up control arm spacers

Yup. That is where they go. I don't remember seeing them on other cars I have restored but they were on my 68 Charger as well. Here is a pic of mine. I plan on putting them back on when I press in new bushings. 100_6865.jpg

The FSM said the spacers were used on Darts with 10 inch front brakes, Coronets, police and taxis. I did not see the reference to any other Mopars.

Just a before shot. The soacers didn't show in the after shots. The photo name said it is the passenger side.

I don't know what the purpose was for the spacers. Must be for added stiffness somewhere. It is funny that the C body cars didn't have them. It seems like if some of the B Bodies need them, the C's would need them more. Don't matter to me though, They were on my 68 Charger so they are going back on for whatever good they do.

Still confused about the exact location. Do they go between the control arm and the bushing. Thanks guys

Anyone have a pic of where they go? Never seen them and have no idea what they do in the 40+ years I've been messing with Mopars....

I am with Cranky on this on 40+ and have never seen these before this thread. But I have not pulled a control arm bushing in or out since I bought a press.

I have not seen them before either until I started dis assembly on my 68 Charger. It is a 383 auto car so not what I would call "heavy duty". Anyway, I just pressed them back on with new bushings yesterday. Here are a couple pics. They go on the rear bushing on both sides.

First time I saw them was in the latter 70's, when doing a suspension job in the shop. I had no idea what they were or why they were there. I imagine to add strength.

I have found them on both sides of the upper control arm.
