A while ago someone asked about doing this and I said I had and would upload pictures when I could. 100 years later and I’m finally doing it, I apologize for taking so long.
Did it because I couldn’t afford to do a manual swap so this was a fairly cheap fun alternative for the time being. And I didn’t have to change anything to the stock 727.
Basically only had to create the two metal pieces I circled and bolt it on. I shifted the position of the center console slightly to line the stock window up, but you’d never know (I don’t think). Shift lever and indicator line up perfectly. Worked flawlessly for over a year since we did it. I covered the indicator light with one of the original blue lenses to make the window light up the stock color.
Maybe stupid to some, but I’ve really enjoyed it and don’t regret doing it. And my Colombian father-in-law was the brains behind it so it was a cool bonding project.
