I remember when I was 7-8 years old we had a major snowstorm. The second day we were snowed in, we heard a knock at the door. It was the milkman, he walked a good half mile from the highway in knee deep snow to deliver our milk. He was about half froze, we invited him in warmed him up, had a cup of coffee with him, and he left. Hell of a guy, hard to find that kind of loyalty nowadays. Memories like that is why they're called the good old days.
Rmember the large glass bottle the milk came in? They would sweat and get very slippery. One slipped out of my hand and hit my big toe right foot. I can still remember looking down in the tub when my mom rinsed it off. Blood everywhere. My job was to bring the milk in. Still have the scar. I think it was 58 years ago and still very vivid.I remember when I was 7-8 years old we had a major snowstorm. The second day we were snowed in, we heard a knock at the door.
