Good afternoon. Today on lunch break garage I'm trying to determine whether my coil is bad and causing my spark plugs to not fire correctly.

If your ignition coil is within proper resistance more testing is needed...
Make sure your getting the proper voltage to the coil….Try No start, just cranking the engine over, place tester lead of your meter to the coil + side .. reading should be as close to 12volts …..

Also try….
start the engine
while you hold the spark plug 1/4 to a ground ..If the spark plug emit a sharp blue spark, the coil is fine. If the spark is dull NG…

remember too much heat can also affect coil performance...

I have tested many coils over the years for the primary and secondary ohms. Many times they read normal and yet the coil was still bad and put out a weak spark. Ron
