I am diving into the front end rebuild portion of my 65 Bell II project. It was a 273, and I am going 440. Should I just replace the T bars based on age principle? Or.. because of the big block, and the added weight? Or just do the old school , leave in the lighter bars for weight transfer? Appreciate the input.

If you're not going to race go for the bigger V8 bars. My OEM 383 bars have held up to the 440 for 86000 mi.

Seems to me like a toss up. If the existing bars seem to be in good shape, how much sag? They'll work OK with a 440, unless you're looking for really good cornering. If it's going to be more of a straight line piece I'd stick with the lighter bars. If cornering is important, go with heavier bars. However the thicker bars still work just fine for straight line work. Lots of aftermarket bars available.

I agree with both of these guys: strip = 273 bars street = big block bars

Oh... sorry... I thought from the title you were offering to get me a cold one.....
