Battery and starter wiring.

Am beginning to rewire 67 Satellite 440 automatic. Do I run the positive cable from the battery to the starter and one to the relay? Or one to the relay and from the relay to the starter. Thanks

Not sure if I am understanding you correctly but here goes. 2 posts on your starter motor, 1 is a big fat one for your 12V battery feed. Second is smaller for your 12V exciter feed from your cranking circuit. Run 12V heavy gauge battery wire to the big post. Run your small starter motor cranking wire from your wiring loom to the small post. Definately, DEFINATELY do not connect the 2, or you will have a permanently cranking starter motor which would be quite annoying...
