I see that my car is rated around 560ccA for the battery, and I'm currently looking to replace it with an Optima Red Top battery. I have always liked these batteries but would like to know something about the ccA rating. How far over is too far? The lowest ccA rating I see on these is 720...is that too much?

My company actually makes these batteries and I can get one hell of a discount, so that's another reason for my bias toward Optima. Just curious for input before I order one.

P.S. my car is never driven in cold weather.

Thanks...is there a big difference in what your owner's manual says for the ccA vs what the battery is rated at? I forget where I read it, but I thought it was bad to go too far over on the ccA for some reason. Being that I don't drive it in the cold, maybe that doesn't even matter.

Sorry I do not know. Never even thought about that. It is a stock 70 340 Dart if that helps any. I live in SoCal so it does not get that cold here. Not much below 30 in the winter.
