Getting ready to install a NOS Direct~connection Battery relocation kit that i purchased from a member, and i'm wondering how otheres ran there kits !

Go to mad Electric, mark can provide you a Solinoid mounted in Trunk that will only allow large Battery cable to be powered during cranking only. Ten it deactivates. Madelectrical.com

many ways to set these up.with and without solenoids.big thing not mentioned in many kits and custom setups is you need a good eng to chassis ground cable.
 
This is the setup in my Cuda. I'll do something similar in the Belvedere.

I would run the cable inside the car unless you have access to a lift. Screwing all the clamps to the frame to hold the cable is a real SOB!

I believe routing the positive cable inside the car is illegal if you are ever going to take the car down the quarter mile. I think NHRA (?) requires it to be routed outside the car.

Don't take my post here as gospel, but I would check it out to be sure you don't screw yourself...

Here's a basic Mad Electrical battery installation I did on my Hemi powered deuce. His setup uses a Ford type selinoid which is in line between the battery and the start switch. The wire from the charging circuit hooks up to the battery side of the solinoid. The crank circuit is attached to the "S" terminal on the selinoid. When you turn the key to the crank position the solinoid activates the starter. Once the key is returned to the run position that line is deactivated. I also have a battery disconnect switch mounted on the ground side of the battery since I don't drive this car everyday.
