I don't like the grey. At all.
I have liked silver on some vehicles over the years. But it has to be the right silver. There are a lot of "crappy" silver colors, they look more like a matte silver, and run closer to "bright grey" then actual silver.
The 94 Mustang I sold to my boy is "Opal Frost" and with some bright silver painted wheels(steeda) and clean(new) original diamond clear headlights the color is fantastic.
The early 80's Imperials in silver looked about as classy as you could make a car.
Black looks good on a lot of vehicles. My '13 Charger is black, with the optional black out grill and the polished steel/black wheels. Yes, it is in a garage. I am fond of 1990's SUV's in black. The late 90's Durango for example.
White looks good on some vehicles too. But again, has to be the right kind of white, and the right vehicle. I have always liked Dodge truck white from 80's 90's, it is basically generic titanium white so it is very bright, with clear on it it stands out. Dodge second gen design and Dakota's second gen look amazing in white, especially with the red lettering for the sport versions from a few years. BMW has always had that striking Alpine white color. I don;t even like beemers, but the white ones do catch your attention.
But that muted primer grey color? That is going to be a fad that goes away and devalues the vehicles in a few years, like some of the pinkish colors from the 90's, or that turquois color GM put on their trucks back then, or the rainbow of mid 90's S10 choices, pink with black, blue with pink wheel arches.... blech.
Forrest green metallic seems to go in and out of style, but I have always liked it. Same with deep metallic blues. The difference with those and this primer grey is green and blue won;t devalue your car.
