SWMBO and I went and saw Becoming Led Zeppelin on Imax this weekend. Completely worth the time, I'd give it a 9/10. If youre into this band, dont miss it. Sound track was fantastic and you learn much about the band (for instance both Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were session musicians on the song Goldfinger, for the 007 movie). It takes the band members from their earliest music experiences through the end of the album Led Zeppelin II. This includes previously unreleased interview footage of John Bonham.

My rock n roll honey saw them live in the mid 70's. Closest thing for me was watching "Celebration Day".

This was the only major band of the 70s that I chose not to go see live that I very much regret. I will indeed make this viewing, thanks....

what happen to the song remains the same ? that was a documentary about zeppelin

I'd say that was more just a film with concert footage and a few odd scripted fantasy scenes thrown in... this new one is a proper documentary, as per the usual definition.

I'm seeing it on Thursday, cant wait! :D

I'm grateful I got to see them over here in 1979 at the first of 2 open air gigs at Knebworth house. Missed out on the Celebration Day reunion gig in London in 2007 tho, along with a few million other ticket applicants
