Last time on the site was 11/2017. So do not know if that is new or not. If it is NOT do not read this! If it is go ahead, cause it is just a non computer guy, who doesn't text, or join chat "stuff". Just an "old school" car guy. Wife and I believe in driving them and do not care whether all the screws that hold the glove box in are "factory"! We do understand the skill a dedication it takes to this this kind of work, it is just not us. We own and have owned nothing that remains "stock". Closest we came was our 39 Plymouth Coupe ( P8), 38,000 OE miles. Put a ton of work in it ( started with a rust free car). but got to the point were it was not fun to drive. Hope I can say this as it is not a B-Body as you know. It was all O.E. equipped, actually capable of 80 mph, but worked hard to get there. Had to pay to much attention to others , that would drift toward it as they drove by or cut you off so they did not have to follow. It went from home in Waterford, NY to Dallas TX. The 66 you see is what our money now goes into. Have spun wrenches since 68 so most everything is by me ( hate body work - do not do it). Thought of selling it, But wife says NO we would miss the grunt ( 689HP @ 6000 , over 600 lb. ft. from 2800- 7000 Max @ 4500 ( 675). And it is Moulin Rouge , which most people say " Are you Serious" ? Will respond to anyone, just never know when. Wife's watching Play offs so I am here, To much harsh language, glad she's not my coach.

65 's are my favorite, Have a Dakota that's more than capable to tow this, But thinking of Finding a C or B body Wagon to do it. OH to have money to do what ya want, If I could only get the wife to win a lottery she would be perfect.

Welcome back and I remember the screen name. Any my 66 Belvedere still has the radio delete plate in it....

Welcome back from Alabama. Have to love the 66-67's no matter what the color. You don't like body work so what challenges do you have with that?

Not a body work guy here either.

Got it Dark Blue with a vinyl top, left factory w/ 383 four speed. I took it all apart, my body Dave ( Dave Fuscos Auto Body) did the hard stuff, straighten a smooth, remove top and paint. Then it came back: welded all bolt holes in floor, secured chassis ties and braces and repaired welds on the 10 point cage, Muscle Motors ( Michigan)built me a "Killer Krate" based on a stroked 440 block. I had him use a 1050 dominator instead of the 950. Cost on that just just two grand higher than I could get parts for and included all machine work and dyno break in. Had a TCI 727 street strip trans. now has a ATI 727 Reverse/manual shift which will handle 900 Lb.ft., upgraded 4" drive shaft, etc, etc. Printed the list a bit above this. Runs mid 10's in the high 120's. - 4.11's now put I do have 4.56's with a spool if I want to get serious. It's so stupid on the street its fun. We are making it more "streetable" ( still no sway bar, 90-10's front 50-50 rears) and had ATI build a 3500 stall to replace the 4500 stall we had in it. It don't like to turn ( set 4.5 degrees Positive caster) six cyl. T-bars. Just tame enough to almost hook up on the street. But as with most cars like this things can get out of shape real quick if your not paying attention. Which is why you NEVER have Rebecca take ya for a ride. She just likes the loud pedal. I did however get rid of the 10" frt. drums, now 74 A-Body 10" disc. Third pass @ the 1/4 they got warm, didn't always stop straight. But we drive it,will idle in gear a 1000 rpm, carb set up like a light switch your right foot gets an instant response. Car shows, out to dinner, and even went grocery shopping with it. Not like a modern E body but was never an E body fan anyway. they weighed 200-300 more than the B's of the same year. We actually just received a wiper motor and trans. assembly, heater box, core and cables from Desert Valley Auto parts, Rebecca wants heat and a defroster. So now I have to work that in with the cage there.List would go on but gives you and anyone else reading an idea. Jerry Horn License plate; 1 MEAN66

I got to make up something as there is no radio and using the Knob holes for toggle switches.
