Beginning my 68 Charger Restoration - looking for a complete wiring harness

I am in the early stages of tearing my car down getting ready for paint. When it gets painted I plan on replacing the entire wiring harness. The car is in decent shape (I think) so I am hoping for a 6 month eta for completion. It has a 360 stroker 410ci with a 4 speed. The engine is done and the interior is pretty solid. I am not doing a frame off as it is a driver. I enjoy getting the rubber on the road. I would love recommendations on where to look for parts.

Where should I look for a good wiring harness that I may be able to install myself.

I am preparing the car for my Son. Rangers Lead the Way!

In my opinion the M&H wire harness (which can only be ordered through Year One) is the best out there...Plug and play, upgrades available for newer ignition styles, correct connectors & factory color codes and top quality throughout make in worth the cost.

Sweet car, to bad your so far away "I know where there is 2 Roadrunners with clean roofs for parts" I know the rear windows are different but the fronts are the same. If you don't care about being "correct" I'd do away with the bulkhead connector and ammeter while your doing the wiring. Good luck and glad to see another Charger.

I used painless mopar 10127. Some things were not very easy to figure out due to some upgrades, but I'm happy with it. I had also welded in a plate instead of using the factory bulk head cover supplied in the kit, and routed the harness via hole by the kick panel.Tthe price was $450. on ebay. At the same time I also installed a volt gauge in place of an amp gauge. If you use this kit, and plan on using msd you will have to chuck the ballast resistor in the trash and find a hot wire (key on) instead of using the painless by-pass wires. I took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on .

MH is the most factory correct.
Painless if you want to build a custom harness.
Evans and Francis are in-between. Have heard good about Francis, bad about Evans.

I wanted to upgrade my fuse box too to blade fuses so I went with the 18 fuse -21 circuit setup from EZ-Wiring everything for the harness in the front of the car will be custom built but we found we could save a lot of time with the M&H harness for the rear of the car after the 30% discount for $117. The M&H harnesses are very factory direct so if you're simply looking to replace without a lot of modifications then this is the way to go. There should be 3 harnesses available for your car (Dash, Front end and tail section) Ballpark you should be able to get all 3 for around $650 with a discount code

Thank you all for your advice. I will look into which one will work best for me. I wanted to also change out the fuse box and upgrade everything. I am pretty good with mechanics but electrical is just not my cup of tea. Might need an expert to put that in for me. Thanks again for all your help.

Mark if you do a search there's various threads here for people that have replaced or upgraded their entire electrical as well as reviews of different components used.

I used this method to determine my choices to upgrade so its all in what suits you and whether or not you want everything to look stock or more custom

I used American Autowires power plus 21 kit, every wire has it's purpose printed right on it and has room for upgrades. I liked it but being universal there are a few things you have to figure out like splicing it into the Mopar steering column but nothing to hard.
