how do you tell the differance between a 440 bell and a 383 bell for a 4sp the one that i have has casting # 2843234 thanks

That is the 11" housing. 11's have a clearance hump about 4 " from engine side vs the 10.5 housings that are a smooth slope toward trans.

Engine size isnt the issue. Flywheel is.
